Tiger 142 of Heavy Panzer Battalion 501 in front of the Grand Theatre in Tunis on around the 27th November 1942.
This was one of the first Tigers to arrive in North Africa, and it appears it was sent into Tunis for propaganda purposes. This official German photograph was the first image of the new tank seen in Britain. It is fitted with the narrower transport tracks.
Other photos of this tank show that the 88mm gun did have a muzzle brake fitted. It was edited out of this photograph by the German censor.

The Battle of Mohács was one of the most consequential battles in Central European history. It was fought on 29 August 1526 near Mohács, Kingdom of Hungary, between the forces of the Kingdom of Hungary, led by Louis II, and those of the Ottoman Empire, led by Suleiman the Magnificent. The Ottoman victory led to the partition of Hungary for several centuries between the Ottoman Empire, the Habsburg Monarchy, and the Principality of Transylvania. Further, the death of Louis II as he fled the battle marked the end of the Jagiellonian dynasty in Hungary and Bohemia, whose dynastic claims passed to the House of Habsburg. The Battle of Mohács marked the end of the Middle Ages in Hungary. [Painting uncredited / Caption from Wikipedia] #history #medieval #war #hungary #middleages #ottoman #turks

MIGHTY DANGEROUS COMEBACK!!!

Hey friends! We’re finally back!
And here’s an edited version of the first three chapters. We’ve not only fixed small mistakes, such as wrong insignias but also added new pages and text. The reason for the edits was our utmost urge to deliver the story as we see it, however, the first edition was a bit crumpled and it lacked smoothness. We really hope that the storytelling is clearer now, please let us know what you think!
The next chapter comes pretty soon, maybe even this week. We’re launching a Patreon page where you can support us and our project!

And thank you for your patience, friends!

“It makes no difference what men think of war,…

“It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be. That way and not some other way.” -Cormac McCarthy, ‘Blood Meridian’ #history #war #ww2 #cormacmccarthy #quotes
